“ We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Paracel. They were so great to work with. Matthew was so helpful when bouncing ideas around and helped us with so much. He was our DJ as well and my family and friends loved his music choices and the vibes throughout our entire wedding. Matthew was also very responsive and receptive to all of our questions. They are flexible and that helps so much when planning a wedding!! We did the tasting and had some adjustments for the day of our wedding. My husband and I loved the food and the leftovers (LOL)! I definitely recommend gathering some family and friends to do a tasting and take notes in case you want to make changes. We had 150 guests and a boba vendor and photobooth vendor inside the restaurant. There was space for both and additional late-night snack table and arch display. As the bride, I had a blast out our wedding and I'm so thankful to have found Paracel! They were awesome to work with and we would recommend! ”

“ Came here for a company holiday party! The venue is great for your traditional multi course Chinese/Vietnamese reception services! The company that hosted opted for a cash bar, but the service was quick and owners work there and operate it like a well oiled small business! We had a lot of food options on the menu (crab egg soup, honey walnut shrimp, lobster noodles, fried chicken, and more), but my top dishes were easily the lobster noodles and honey walnut shrimp! I'd highly recommend this place if you're ever looking to do a wedding reception or holiday party! ”

“ Came here for a company Christmas party. The venue is basically a banquet hall, pretty spacious. Can accommodate 100+ people, approximately. The place is nicely decorated with chandeliers and curtains. There is also a stage/platform and a decent sized bar. Separate bathroom for men and women, clean but a little dark. My favorite part is the food. They served a 7-course meal. Started off with variety of appetizers (calamari strips, jelly fish, shrimp cocktail, century egg, salad), crab and fish soup, lobster with garlic noodles (super tasty), honey walnut shrimp, roast duck, fish fillet, fried rice, and red bean with tapioca for dessert. The only thing I didn't like is the location itself. It's in a plaza with a lot of construction on going. There's no signage on the place, just a tarpaulin hanging on the construction materials by the main entrance. Parking is ok. There's additional parking at the rear entrance. ”

“ We wanted two things to be memorable on our wedding day: FOOD and VIBES. Paracel absolutely delivered that for our wedding this past November at Serendipity The Venue in Fountain Valley! The process was a bit different than normal because our venue and Paracel work in partnership. However, Paracel's Matthew H was willing to answer any and all question via text/phone extremely promptly! They came in to our venue with lazy susans, cutlery, and delicious food - we literally didn't have to worry about a thing! We went with the gold package which which included cold cuts/appetizer board, crap and asparagus soup, filet mignon, honey walnut shrimp, lobster noodles, peking duck, steamed fish (originally fried fish but we swapped), and fried rice. Guests were barely able to make it to the fried rice with how delicious everything else was! We're from Arizona so we couldn't make it in on Thursdays for a tasting, but Matthew was so nice to allow our family members to go in our place. They were impressed by his service and the family's CHILI OIL recipe. My aunt left the tasting with 4 tubs of their chili oil, haha! Our guests have not stopped raving about our food. We come from a family of foodies, so their raving reviews shows how good Paracel is. Whether you're at a venue looking to have Paracel as your vendor or planning on booking Paracel as your venue, you cannot go wrong. “ My husband and I booked this place, because it hit all the things we wanted: seating for 300-400 guests, affordability (cost per table versus per person), delicious food, great music, great staff, open bar, lots of parking, allowance for both ceremony and reception in one place. We seriously couldn't have done it without Matthew. Tastings are on weeknights; events generally run from Friday-Sunday. For customers, I recommend reaching out to Matthew for more information as prices can change over time. Food - We booked this place after we had our tasting, because it was the best Chinese-Vietnamese wedding food we ever had. It is an 8-course meal served family style with recipes crafted by Matthew's mom. They have different tiers, as well as vegetarian/vegan options and vendor meals. The venue also caters to outside events. I'm not going to lie, we were told food came out slowly for some tables, but I am giving the staff grace for this - I hope customers/guests (from our event and others' events) can be understanding as we had over 30 tables (and they had outside catering events that day), so that's a lot of food. **Tips: Definitely do a tasting (if you book the venue, the tasting cost will be deducted from your total). Try the chili sauce that the manager's mom made, especially with the soup! DJ/MC - As an additional cost, the manager Matthew also does DJing. Providing a playlist is very helpful, but he definitely also goes off the vibes of the crowd you have that day. A lot of our guests raved about the DJ, and I do have to agree that he did a great job, from throwbacks to 2000s clubbing music to mainstream music. & who wouldn't like a little extra presentation with firework and fog machines? Not to mention, Matthew was very helpful in looking over our wedding timeline and being flexible with changes/suggestions even during the night of the event. Bar - I recommend investing in the open bar! It is so worth it. The bartenders are good and the drinks are good. They also take into consideration what your guests would like to drink; we let them know to stock heavy on Heineken and Hennesy! Recs for the venue and customers - Keep communicating! It doesn't mean they are necessarily bad ideas, but it helps to bounce ideas and be on the same page; flexibility is good, but it's nice to be able to plan ahead if possible. Try not to overwork yourselves - whether it's the staff having multiple events or the customers trying to do it all by themselves; be willing to accept help / build boundaries, otherwise it will just be a stressful time for everybody. Paracel is always going to have a special place in our hearts, and we wish we had excuses to come all the time. Thank you to Matthew, his parents, and the entire staff. :) ”

“ We booked Paracel for our wedding tea ceremony & reception venue, and Matthew for our MC & DJ. We were thoroughly satisfied with our experience with the venue & Matthew. When set up, Paracel was such an beautiful venue to have our wedding reception. We would say the space was just right for about 200 guests with plenty of room for our other vendors to setup, including an outdoor patio. However, it would be good to know that the projector screen is right behind the stage which did prevent us having a slideshow as our sweetheart table arch backdrop did obstruct it. We opted for the Platinum Plate Menu & even had an opportunity to try the food before booking. According to our guests, they enjoyed the presentation of Lobster Fruit Salad. Other highlights included the House Special Lobster Garlic Noodles & Peking Duck with Steamed Bun. They thought the food was delicious & plentiful. The bar being indoors & close to the tables made it very convenient for many of our guests to easily grab a drink. Matthew was accommodating & was easy to communicate with throughout the planning. He also gave us suggestions and recommendations based on his experience. Matthew as a DJ & MC was also phenomenal. He exceeded our expectations with keeping our guests engaged & entertained. Despite his limited Vietnamese, his father was also there that night to assist with translating for our Vietnamese guests. Matthew really knew how to read the room & hype people up. As the night was coming to a close & the dance floor opened up, he seemed to know what music to play to keep the crowd going & even concluded the night with a special moment for us. Paracel has such an amazing package for a wedding reception. You would be hard pressed to find an experience as good as Paracel in the area. We highly recommend Paracel for your wedding or next event! ”

“ Had the wedding reception of my dreams at Paracel!! HUGE shoutout to Matthew for hearing our vision of creating a rave for our friends and family and bringing that to life!!! Paracel seafood restaurant is such an amazing reception if you're a bride looking for your guests to leave FULL and to have a great time! Paracel offers an 8-course fixed menu, and has a large dance floor with curtains that light up. There's an option to hire Matthew, the restaurant owner's son, as your DJ/MC and believe me- if you are going with this restaurant, HIRE HIM!!!! He is such a fun MC who can also speak Vietnamese! He truly brought the party and all my guests loved his energy! We also told Matthew we wanted a mix of pop and EDM and he was able to play the tracks we had asked for! The DJ package also includes cold sparklers and fog machine! The sparkler and fog machine made our dance look so much more magical. There's also a spotlight that Matthew can turn on and that also adds to the first dance. Matthew is a wizard and he knows exactly when to use the fog machine, sparklers and spotlight for the best effect. People told me the first dance looked absolutely magical with everything combined! Paracel also offers upgrades if you want to make your dance floor white instead of the typical brown. I honestly don't know why people would choose any other reception venue other than paracel. I truly believe paracel is the best among the Asian reception venues we toured as it has so much more. Food review: 8 course meal, overall was good! Menu included typical Vietnamese staples such as Bo luc lac, Peking duck, crab soup, etc. Open bar had a wide selection, and they allow you to get shots. The shots are not watered down. Overall I would recommend this venue to anyone. Good value, fun reception site, amazing DJ/MC (who also doubles up as a bartender and coordinator). You will be thankful to have booked with them. A lot of my guests the next day texted me saying this was one of their top favorite, most fun weddings they've ever been to. Matthew, if you're reading this. “ We finally had our wedding here September 8th and it was magical. We had our ceremony here and then our reception. Bác Thương and Matthew and the whole family were absolutely remarkable. Matthew was a great DJ and people were dancing all night. And the food... everyone went nuts over the food. We had maybe 1/4 Vietnamese guests 3/4 American guests and everyone loved the food. They even were able to accommodate my vegans! I wish I could relive this day again and again. ”
